1990-1999
1990
Allen McConnell, A&S '90, was recently promoted to associate professor
of psychology at Miami University. His research and teaching are in the
area of social psychology, with a primary interest in stereotyping, self-concept,
judgment and decision-making. McConnell lives in Fairfield, Ohio.
G. Todd Spencer, BusAd '90,
and his family just finished a three-year tour in Boise, Idaho, where
he served as an adviser to the National Guard. Last year, he was promoted
to Major in the United States Army and received his master's of science
in administration from Boise State. Since June, he has been stationed
in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., to attend command and general staff college
for 11 months. Spencer and his wife, Krista, have a two-year-old son,
Gary, and their second child was due in September.
1991
Elizabeth Erskine Morton,
A&S '91, is in the process of pursuing an MBA. She and her husband,
Craig, moved last January to Missouri City, Texas, from London, England.
They are avid cyclists, skiers and hikers. She writes, "Texas offers
year-round cycling, but the skiing is a little poor so we head to Colorado
at least twice a year to swoosh down the mountains. We also spend a lot
of time hiking in Colorado, California and Montana. If there are any other

Joan Sompayrac, JD '91, is
an assistant professor of accounting in the College of Business at the
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
1992
Thomas Budzik, BusAd '92,
MBA '98, works for Sealy Mattress in North Carolina. Previously he was
with Chiquita and World Kitchen. Budzik and his wife, Pam, have been married
since 1997 and have a son, Zackary Thomas, born in June 2000. They live
in Greensboro.
Christopher Calpin, Eng '92,
was recently promoted to an associate of Camp Dresser & McKee, an
environmental engineering firm in Worthington, Ohio. He moved to Mason
from Columbus to become the client officer of the company's Cincinnati
operation. Calpin and his wife, Stephanie, celebrated the birth of their
first son, Christopher John last February.
Ian Clark, (A&S) '92,
received his master's in national security affairs from Naval Post Graduate
School in June. His wife, Kelly Schibi Clark, CAS '94, is a clinical dietitian
at Community Hospital Monterey Peninsula. The Clarks live in Monterey
and celebrated the birth of their second child, Noelle Carolyn, last January.
James Faddis, Univ '92, Eve
'94, has been named Nurse of the Year 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in
Cincinnati. He and his wife, Barbara, have been married for five years
and have a son, Jason. They live in Cincinnati.
Daniel Flanigan, BusAd '92
and his wife, Beth Beinkemper Flanigan, Nur '93, are busy raising their
two-year-old daughter, Lauren Nicole. The Flanigans live in Cincinnati
and recently built a new home.
Joseph Prenger, BusAd '92,
is a senior buyer for Miami Valley Steel Service in Piqua, Ohio. He and
his wife, Tonya, were married in 1997 and have three children, Carley
& Maxwell, twins born in July of 1999, and Carson, born in May of
2001. The Prengers live in Minster.
1993
Greg Boris, CCM '93, is the
executive special projects coordinator for the Missoula Children's Theatre
in Montana, the largest touring children's theatre in the world. He started
with the company in 1993 and last February traveled to the United Kingdom
to direct 100 children in an original review called "America,"
which he rewrote for the occasion. Boris continues to perform in many
of Missoula's productions, most notably playing Archibald in "The
Secret Garden," the title role in "The Music Man" and the
cowardly Lion in a concert version of "The Wizard of Oz."
Rhonda Bryan, RWC, '93, is
the human resource administrator for Computer Horizons in Cincinnati.
While attending RWC, one of Bryan's professors introduced her to Collegiate
Secretaries International. Through that affliation, she also became a
member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
She and her husband, Merv, and their son, Jeremy, live in Cincinnati.
Richard Moore, JD '93, was
selected vice chair of the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati last February.
He is also chair of the Urban League's Youth Program Development Team.
Moore is a partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease and has a general
litigation practice. Previously, he served as vice president of the Black
Lawyers Association of Cincinnati and on the Hamilton County Public Defender
Panel, where he represented indigent criminal defendants on a pro bono
basis.
Nicki Pavey, AHS '93, is a
chief clinical dietitian for Southern Ohio Medical Center. She lives in
Portsmouth, Ohio.
Priscilla Teasdale, CAS '93,
is in her eighth year as a safety administrator in the Florida Keys. A
major portion of her job is responding to disasters and coordinating mass
care. She has been involved in three hurricanes, tornados and recovery
from 1998's Hurricane Georges. She writes, "Thanks to UC, OMI, for
my education in fire and safety engineering."
1994
Dina Brown, A&S '94, Univ
'95, works at a college in Northern Massachusetts and is pursuing her
master's in higher education administration. Brown writes, "I keep
busy, but make time to have fun. I get together with other UC alums to
watch the Bearcats, although I was disappointed that they lost so early
in the tournament this year." She lives in Bradford.
Barbara Brenton Sahr, MM '94,
is an adjunct faculty at Ohio State University, working as the sole coach/accompanist
for the Opera Department and Voice Area of the School of Music. She also
works with Opera Columbus, both as a performance pianist/repetiteur and
as a member of the opera chorus. Sahr lives in Columbus.
1995
Jennifer Kistner, BusAd '95,
is a financial adviser with UBS Paine Webber in San Jose, Calif., and
owns a retail shop with her mother. Kistner is single and in her free
time enjoys playing tennis and mentoring at a local high school. She lives
in Sunnyvale.
Michelle Ort, A&S '95,
is enjoying her career in marketing as a contractor for ExxonMobil. She
relocated a fourth time last January to the Washington, D.C., area and
writes, "It was an interesting move, in light of the September 11th
event. Life is good." Ort lives in Arlington, Va.
Jeffery Sherman, A&S '95,
is student services coordinator for Project: LEARN of Summit County in
Akron, Ohio, a nonprofit, community-based organization providing nonreading
adults with free tutoring. He also works with Summit County agencies to
seek student referrals and develop a recruit plan for students and tutors.
He lives in Copley, Ohio.
1996
Michael Grayson, A&S '96,
Ed '97, is a social studies teacher and assistant athletics director at
Madeira High School in Cincinnati. He is also active in the Children's
Ministries Department at the Central Parkway Church of God and as a member
of the Children's Ministries Board. Grayson lives in Cincinnati and is
engaged to Rachel Kuhn. Their wedding is next March.
Johnathan Holifield, JD '96,
MEd '99, has been appointed to The Greater Cincinnati Foundation Governing
Board for a three-year term. He is executive director of CincyTechUSA
and vice president of New Economic Enterprise, Greater Cincinnati Chamber
of Commerce. He is also a member of the Ohio General Assembly Joint Legislative
Committee on High Technology Start-up Business and serves on several local
boards. Holifield lives in Cincinnati.
Toby Hughes, RWC '96, sells
commercial printing and packaging in New York City for InnoMark Communications,
a company headquartered in Cincinnati. Previously, he worked as a graphic
designer for The Keebler Co. in Chicago, as a designer in New York City
for the Topps Co., designing baseball and football cards and Bazooka gum
packaging and for Young & Rubicam Advertising's subsidiary design
agency, Landor Associates. He lives in New York City.
Shad Huffer, A&S '96,
is a practicing chiropractor in Jasper, Ind. He received his degree from
the National College of Chiropractic. Huffer and his wife, Aimee, live
in Jasper, and were married in June 1999.
Amy Karp Vetter, BusAd '96,
is a senior financial analyst with JM Family Enterprises and an adjunctprofessor at Nova Southeastern
University Business School. She is a CPA and also has an MBA. Her husband,
Rob Vetter, BusAd '95, works at KPMG as a senior consultant in the information
risk management practice. The Vetters met at UC, were married in 1997
and moved to Florida in 1999. They have one son.
1997
Vincent Albers, CCM '97, and
his wife, Cathy, live in Cincinnati and recently celebrated the birth
of their first child, Vincent William. He writes, "Cathy is enjoying
her time with him and loves being a mother. I love being a father and
can't wait to take him to his first Bearcat basketball game. Go Bearcats."
Amy Eversole, MD '97, is a
second-year cardiology fellow at the University of Florida, where she
completed an internal medicine residency. She lives in Gainesville.
Nikolay Ivanov, A&S '97,
majored in French and French literature but works as an autocad designer
for a construction company. He writes, "I still have the same passion
for French culture and literature as I had five years ago, and I still
miss my days at UC. I play a lot of chess and challenge all alums to a

in Cincinnati.
Karen Jacob, MEd '97, is a
special education teacher at Vine Elementary in Cincinnati. She has taught
special education since 1997 and worked at Project Succeed Academy for
two years. Jacob lives in Cincinnati and is appearing for her NBPTS this
year.
Brian Miller, Ed '97, is a
volunteer for Colonial Williamsburg and a professional guide for Jamestown,
Yorktown and Williamsburg.
David Quandt, A&S '97,
is a regional account manager for Hartford Life Insurance in Chicago.
Quandt and his wife, Melissa, live in Aurora, Ill. She is pursuing a master's
in education and he commutes to and from Chicago. He writes, "We
hope to move back to the Greater Cincinnati area in the near future and
raise our family. Meanwhile, I watch the Bearcats play on television from
the ESPN Zone here."

is working in Research Triangle Park for IBM in Raleigh, N.C.
Karen Thomas Wells, MEd '97,
was chosen to participate in the Martha Jennings Educational Scholars
Program Series at the University of Dayton for Cincinnati Public Schools
for the 2001-2002 school year. She is also chairperson of the Greater
Liberty Baptist Church Scholarship Committee. Wells live in Cincinnati.
1998
Sarah Ammann, BusAd '98, is
an events specialist for InfoWorld Media Group, a technology trade journal
in San Mateo, Calif. She writes, "It has been a lot of fun starting
up the UC Bay Area alumni chapter with Jason Shine, A&S '94 and Alexandra
Simitses, BusAd '95. We have quite a following. Let me know if you are
in San Francisco and need a fun tour guide." Ammann moved to the

Joel Eppley, Eng '98, has
kept busy with Operation Enduring Freedom since Sept. 11. He is a C-17
Globemaster III pilot for the U.S. Air Force, providing strategic and
tactical airlift throughout the globe. Eppley and his wife, Rochelle,
and son, J.T., live in Charleston, S.C.
Donald Hahn, BusAd '98, has
worked for Thomson Learning for three years, selling business and economics
textbooks to colleges and universities in Central Illinois. He lives in
Burlington, Ky.
John Hoffman, MS (Eng) '98,
is completing his doctorate in glass science from Alfred University, while
working as an engineer at Corning. Hoffman and his wife, Desiree, live
in Elmira, N.Y.
Ronald Jackson, BusAd '98,
is the deputy executive director for Chesapeake Redevelopment & Housing
in Virginia. Jackson and his wife, Patricia, live in Chesapeake and have
four children.
Kathryn Greulich Rose, A&S
'98, recently changed careers and is now pursuing her master's in education
and middle school licensure at Xavier University. She lives in Cincinnati.
Emily Anderson Weiss, Ed '98,
is a teacher and also owns her own restaurant. She and her husband, Jason,
live in Milford, Ohio.
Cherise Treherne Wilson, Ed
'98, is an education specialist. She has started a local program for children
and young adults with mental retardation and other various special needs,
to get them involved in the community and churches around the city. Wilson
and her husband, Justin, live in Cincinnati.
1999
Juliann Wetz Jones, Eve '99,
has published two children's books, "Genuine Swiss Army" and
"Boot Camp," featuring typical boys who like to build forts,
play with green army men and spend their days by the creek. Jones began
author visits at schools last spring. In addition, she writes a regular
column for the Tri-County Press. She is married to playwright, Michael
Jones, Eve, '00, and they live in Cincinnati.
Kevin Nobles, MBA '99, is
president of Nobles Research, a company that helps organizations better
understand their target audience through the use of qualitative research.
He and his wife, Shawn, live in Cincinnati and have a daughter, Grace.
