Richard Jantsch, Eng '41, is 84 years old and has been active in the Baden Lions Club for 50 years and sings in the choir at the church where he and his late wife, Patricia, were married in 1946. He still lives in his first house, located only two blocks from the same church. He writes, "I still play the trumpet, my life's passion, and enjoy Dixieland, jazz and hymns. I also play golf for exercise and enjoy looking for news of classmates in 'Horizons.'" Jantsch lives in Baden, Pa.

Reynold Keck, Eng '41, retired from Armco in 1980 after 45 years of service and is now busy doing volunteer work. He and his wife, Martha, celebrated 53 years of marriage last November. The Kecks live in Butler, Pa., and have a granddaughter born last year.

Walter Ellis, Eng '42, has lived at Maple Knoll Village Retirement community in Cincinnati for 11 years. He has written a book, "Torpedo Three," a World War II story about the Navy air squadron and the first carrier planes over Tokyo, Japan.

Phil Grad, Eng '42, has been retired since July 1974. He spends his time loafing, traveling, watching the stock market go down and keeping his wife, Rosalie, happy after 59 years of marriage. He writes, "I'm digesting the changes at UC. I can't keep up with them." The Grads live in Evanston, Ill.

Mildred Alexander Malcolm, Ed '42, is 81 years old and works as a clerk for both Chevy Chase Baptist Church and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. Previously, she taught in the Washington public schools system for 50 years. Malcolm has a twin sister, Marian Alexander Spencer, A&S '42, former Cincinnati vice mayor and NAACP president.

Adrian Stamper, Pharm '44, works part time and travels to the Philippines with his wife, Carmela, who is Filipino. He writes, "I helped four Chinese students graduate from college in the United States. They are now outstanding business people in Hong Kong, and when we visit there we are treated as if we were at home." The Stampers live in AltaLoma, Calif.

William Mauch, BusAd '44, is a retired CPA and now works for Thompson, Hine, a law firm in Cincinnati. His wife, Marion Eberle Mauch, Ed '46, is a trustee of the Cincinnati Nature Center. The Mauchs live in Cincinnati.

Nancy Gillespie Westerfield, A&S '47, has received a Freedom Award in Religion 2000 and was named Humanitarian of the Year in 1998 by the city of Kearney, Neb., her residence for 35 years. Nancy is Nebraska's first National Endowment for the Arts Fellow in poetry and currently is studying Spanish, to assist her with volunteer work at the University of Nebraska.

Joan Harrison Cavally, CCM '48, MM '60, serves on UC's College-Conservative of Music board of regents and directs the Cavally Flute Ensemble. She is also president of Sigma Alpha Iota Alumnae Chapter. Cavally lives in Cincinnati.

Jack Jennewein, A&S '48, JD '50, served from 1994-2000 as a trustee for UC's College of Law Alumni Association. Jennewein and his wife, Ruth, live in Cincinnati.

Jesse Haubner, A&S '49, and his wife, Jean, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. The Haubners live in Lakeland, Fla.

Freeman Morgan Jr., A&S '49, is coordinator for Cincinnati Empowerment, a Christian prayer ministry. Morgan lives in Cincinnati.
